Ordering your Travel Money

You can order your Travel Money at any of our branches. Just pop in and, as long as you order before 3pm, we’ll have it ready for you to collect by 2pm the next working day. If you’re unsure about what currency you need, don’t worry, just tell us where you are going and we’ll order you the right currency.

As well as taking the local currency, you may also want to take a Cash Passport with you, which is the new safe and convenient way to carry your money overseas. Where can I place my order?
You can order your Travel Money from any Derbyshire Building Society branch.

How much can I order?
There is no minimum order value and the the maximum order value is £5,000.

Can I cancel or amend my order?
Once the order has been placed you cannot amend or cancel it.

What are my payment options?
You can pay easily directly from an instant access account with the Derbyshire Building Society, without having to have the hassle of handling cash.

When will my order be ready?
If you place your order with us before 3pm we will usually have your money ready for 2pm the next working day.

Where do I collect my money from?
You can collect your money from the branch where you placed your order, or if you prefer you can choose an alternative Derbyshire branch.

What can I do with my unused travellers cheques and foreign currency?
You can return any leftover foreign currency and travellers cheques purchased from us COMMISSION FREE to any of our branches. Just present your original receipt to the cashier and you will receive that day's buyback exchange rate.
