Staveley is a town to the north east of Chesterfield in Derbyshire, situated alongside the River Rother and Chesterfield Canal. It was traditionally a mining town, with several large collieries situated in and around the area. Ireland Colliery has been developed and is now Poolsbrook Country Park providing walks and leisure for all. Recent local developments include the new junction 29a of the M1 and the redevelopment of Markham Colliery.
